Meet the Coyote III rover: another space exploration robot with a modular design that can negotiate uneven and unstructured terrains. It has its own power source, on-board sensors, and computer. The robot has a 4-wheel drive system, laser range finder, a Basler Ace camera, and a MTi-300 AHRS IMU. Its on-board computer has an Intel Core i7-3555LE processor.
This modular rover is developed to transport items between the exploration rover and stationary modules. A modular manipulator has also been developed for Coyote. The robot recently went through a Mars mission simulation in Utah.
