In the past few years, we have covered plenty of interesting robots made for space exploration. As it turns out, they can also be used for search & rescue missions. Take the Coyote III for instance: initially built for space exploration tasks, this modular robot can be used to help rescue teams in all kinds of situations.
Coyote III comes with a camera, laser scanner, and various sensors and payloads. It is capable of mapping of hazardous materials and performing autonomously. For instance, with the environment sensor module, the robot can find gas leaks and warn the rescue forces.
