Drones are improving all the time. Not all of them perform well in the wind though. EPFL’s latest drone is a bit different. It is equipped with feathers, so it can spread or close its wings while flying. The artificial feathers have a layer of fiberglass covered by nylon. A carbon fiber shaft is used to increase the strength of the wings.
The drone can withstand winds and fly almost like a bird. It changes its shape for more agility.
