Here is a solar home that captures solar energy and converts it to electricity to power appliances, lighting, and floor heater. The MiSo House is a 660-square foot home with solar panels to capture energy from the sun. It is made of aluminum to stay cool in the summer but also has radiant floor heating.
The house was built by a talented “team of architecture students and faculty from Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at The University of Michigan for the 2005 Solar Decathlon, in Washington, DC.” It was made of environment-friendly materials. (e.g. sunflower-board cabinets).
