In the past few months, we have covered plenty of cool 3D printed educational gadgets and STEM robots. The Poppy Ergo Jr is another open source educational robot that helps familiarize young kids with basic tech concepts. This robotic arm can be programmed directly from a web browser using Python. A visual programming interface is also available for it.

Ergo Jr has a REST API, so you can send it commands using C++, Java, Matlab, Ruby, and JavaScript. The robot arm has 6 motors and position/contact sensors. You can add additional components to enhance its capabilities.
