Robotic Machine Tending Cell for CNC Machining Centers

In the past few months, we have covered how powerful KUKA industrial robots can be. As this video shows, these robot arms can be used as a part of a portable cell for machine tending. The robot opens the drawer, removes parts, and places them in a clamping fixture. Once they are machined, the robot removes them and puts them back on the pallet.

This robotic cell can process 4 drawers, so it is ideal for small to medium batch sizes. More info is available here.
