Robot-assisted surgeries are nothing new. We have already covered a couple of robots that can be used to perform minimally invasive surgery on patients. Researchers at the Fraunhofer IPA have come up with a new way to make life easier for surgeons. Their robotic third hand can hold and reposition an endoscope camera and other tools without getting tired.

The robot can be controlled using a joystick, augmented reality glasses, or a smart wearable like the Myo Armband.
