Sphero RVR: All-Terrain Hackable Coding Robot

Sphero is back with another awesome robot for young engineers. The RVR is a hackable coding robot that can climb and drive anywhere. It has an expansion port, so you can extend its capabilities with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and other third party hardware. 

The Sphero Edu app gives you control over the robot and lets you program it through a visual interface. RVR can be used as a battle bot, mobile assistant, home security robot, and everything in between. It has a color sensor, light sensor, gyroscope, accelerometer, and various other sensors.
