Earbuds are nice to have when you are listening to music while traveling or exercising. I am personally not a big fan of wired headphones or earphones though. The SPLIT happens to be a pair of Earbuds with no cables. This does not use Bluetooth either. Each Split earphone has everything needed to play digital audio. The two earphones play in unison without being physically connected (synchronized using high precision crystal clocks). They do exchange a short near-field signal when track or volume are changed.
