Robots are already being used to observe wildlife. This Spy Wild Dog Pup has 24 moving parts to mimic the body language of African wild dogs. The robot only gives friendly reactions by wagging its tail and adopting a submissive posture.
This robotic dog has a skeleton with articulated metal limbs controlled by advanced electronics and servos. The moves are programmed and tested in advance. Each of these robots takes months to build. Pretty impressive, don’t you think?
