The ChessUp 2 chess board is one of our favorites. It is designed for those who want to play on Lichess and Chess.com but also want to have the option to play against a strong engine without their phone or tablet. Unlike almost all other electronic chessboards we have covered, this one also lets you play checkers. You will just have to get the checkers pieces for it to get started.
Once you are ready to play, you will just have to use the touch display on the board to activate the checkers mode. The AI on this board has 6 levels. You can enable/disable force jump. This board shows the moves with lights. We put it against a couple of checkers AIs on iPhone and it held its own.
ChessUp 2 also lets you play against a friend. It has a lightweight design, so you can take it with you anywhere.
