Many companies are working on developing more advanced robots for space missions. The Hakuto Robot Rover is already being tested for a lunar mission. The robot is expected to land on the moon’s surface and travel over 500 meters on autopilot.

The rover can move around craters and rocks as it captures high-resolution, 360-degree images of the surface. It will compete with other robot in the Google Lunar XPrize competition.
