Building and programming your own robots is a great way to learn new skills and take your coding to the next level. Legolas is a 3D printed bipedal robot inspired by Agility Robotics’ Cassie. David Ho, a master’s student in robotics at University of Michigan, is behind this robot. It stands 1ft tall and has inverted legs.

To build this, David used a Raspberry Pi, 8 x 40kg Hobby servos, 2 x 80kg Hobby servos, and a MPU6050 IMU. Batteries were not used to reduce weight and allow for continuous testing.
