Roboticists are always inspired by nature to make more versatile robots. UC Berkeley’s Roach-inspired Robot is a tiny robot that can move across the floor at the speed of a cockroach. It can squeeze into places dogs or humans can’t fit. This robot can still function even if you step on it.

This roachbot is the size of a large postage stamp. It is made of polyvinylidene fluoride. It can achieve a speed of 20 body lengths per minute and weighs only one tenth of a gram.
