Plenty of companies are working on smart companion robots. Panasonic just unveiled its own robot with human-like movements, natural language processing tech, and cloud connectivity. The Panasonic Desktop Companion Robot has a projector, so it can be used to show videos anywhere.
The robot measures 1.5 feet tall, weighing at 3.7kg. It has a max speed of 3.5 km/h. It also has infrared sensors and a 8MP camera. The wheels are driven by 4 motors while the neck has 3 servos. The brain is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 running a UNIX based OS. Pretty cute if you ask us.
