VeinViewer Illuminates Patients’ Veins

Here is a clever technology that lets clinicians easily find and view each patient’s veins. VeinViewer Vision 2 has an articulating arm and flexible wrist joint, allowing users to change its position easily. Here is how the system works:

Projected near-infrared light is absorbed by blood and reflected by surrounding tissue. The information is captured, processed and projected digitally in real time directly onto the surface of the skin. It provides a real time accurate image of the patient’s blood pattern.

VeinViewer allows you to see blood patterns up to 15 mm deep. Users will be able to take and store up to 200 static images on the device. More information is available here.
