In the past few months, we have covered plenty of awesome 3D printers on this site. You can do a lot of fun things with a decent 3D printer. Take this 3D Printed Stargate: it was 3D printed using a design found on Thingiverse. The developer added an Arduino and a stepper motor to get it working.
