We have covered a bunch of awesome hybrid robots here in the past. The Creadapt is quite an interesting project though. The goal here is to design algorithms that can autonomously adapt the behavior of robots to new situations. The robot is allowed to perform a few experiments to cope with the new situation it faces.
As you can see, the Creadapt robot has wheels on its legs. It may not look that special, but think about what future robots capable of evolving and adapting to new situations will be able to do for us. Find out more about the research here.
