Are transparent tablets and smartphones the future? We have seen some cool concepts in the past. Jacob Eichbaum and his team are planning to bring a tablet to the market with a transparent design. Grippity is a dual sided multi-touch tablet that enables you to use all your fingers to interact with your tablet. The device runs Android, which is always a plus.

Here are the specs:

  • Semi-Transparent 7″ LCD 800×480 display
  • front and back sided multi-touch panel
  • Cortex A8 512K RAM
  • SD card slot
  • 4 GB internal storage
  • WiFi/ Bluetooth

We will surely see tablets and smartphones with bendable displays and transparent bodies in the future. Thanks to the folks behind Grippity, you may be able to give that idea a try sooner than expected.
