Robots are going to serve customers in many retail stores in the future. Lowe’s is already exploring this idea with the LoweBot. It is a NAVii autonomous retail service robot that will be introduced in 11 Lowe’s stores throughout the San Francisco Bay area. These robots will be able to answer simple questions to customers, freeing up time for employees to focus on more important projects.
LoweBot will scan inventory and capture real-time data. The robot can help customers find things in stores and understands multiple languages. For this project, Lowe’s partnered with Fellow Robots. More info is available here.
