In the past few years, we have seen plenty of amazing quadruped robots here. This one by Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology researchers is quite special as it can climb metal buildings and structures. MARVEL has onboard computers, batteries, and sensors and relies on MPC for stable climbing.

MARVEL’s magnetic foot design has an EPM and MRE. By turning the magnetism on/off, it is possible for the robot to move. The above video shows this robot in action.
