I don’t know about you but I have always wanted to own a fairly smart robot. PLEO and toys like that were fun but did not satisfy my needs. The Q.bo Pro Evo Robot certainly can. It is a robot with stereoscopic vision, face tracking/recognition, speed recognition, and music gesture player.
QBO Robot in front of a mirror ( UPDATED )
Qbo meets Qbo
Q.bo can navigate automatically. It offers object tracking and obstacle detection. The device runs ROS and has open source hardware/software. This is especially useful for software developers who want to focus more on coding and less on hardware parts. Not a cheap robot but quite a lot of fun to own.
