Dealing with RLS is not a lot of fun. But there are things you can do to get your sleep back on track. The Relaxis Pad happens to be a non-drug treatment for the symptoms of RLS. It helps improve the quality of sleep in patients with primary RLS. The device is designed to eliminate the need for patients to get up and move around. Here is how the device works:
During a nighttime RLS attack, patients can place and activate the Relaxis™ Pad under their legs in the location where they experience the greatest degree of discomfort, usually under the calf or thigh. The vibration from the pad (a form of counterstimulation) runs for approximately 30 minutes, and then gradually decreases in intensity so you won’t be awakened when it stops.
Relaxis Pad may not work for everyone, but it is certainly an interesting device. You can find out more information about it here.
