Those of you who have used fancy VR and motion capture systems know all too well about the markers they use. They are used to track your motion in 3D. The Soulart Station is a markerless tracker for these applications. It follows your movements when you are interacting with objects or lying down. You will just have to connect your stations to WiFi, and you are set. The approach here is to use ToF sensing for 3D scanning. The module used here scans 120 times per second. With 4K RGB and NIR sensors, your 3D point clouds are further enhanced.
The Soulart Station doesn’t need you to mount anything to your VR set. There is also no need to wear any fancy suits. Its app supports SteamVR, VMC, FBX, and BVH outputs. This device has as dual-core NPU and runs a custom machine learning model. It turns point clouds into 23-joint 6 DOF motion data in 10ms. This gadget offers third party integration with Unity, Blender, ROS2, Maya, and Unreal Engine.
