Meet the Swift: a bird inspired drone that flaps its wings like a real bird to move around. It has a max flight speed of 31km/h but can also go as low as 3.5km/h. It comes with smartphone and joystick control. It comes with two swappable tails, so you can change the behavior of this bird. The Swift has a gyro/IMU system to fly smoothly. It also features adjustable assist levels and multicolor LED for night action. You can fly this for 10 minutes on a fully charged battery.
For these birds to fly with agility, they need to have a lightweight design. The Swift weighs only 10.9 grams. It is designed to work with iOS and Android devices. It has 4 flight modes. So how do you fly this? The Swift can take off directly from the ground as long as you don’t have grass or mud around. You can also launch it with your hand like standard RC toys. You can fly this indoors or outside. This project is currently getting funded on Kickstarter.
