In the future, robots will be doing most of the hard tasks for us. They can also be used to assist humans in lifting and holding heavy objects. Take the Panasonic Assist Robot for instance. It is a wearable system that can make life easier for workers and the elderly. Panasonic plans to rely on sensors and an advanced control system to pull this off.
The suit automatically senses the user’s motion when lifting and holding heavy objects to activate the motor. It raises the user’s upper body and reduces stress on their lower back by 15kg. Panasonic is also interested in developing search & rescue and self-reliance support robots. What do you think? Are you impressed?
