Here is another cool DIY project for sci-fi fans. Kristian’s 3D Printed Interactive Stargate has moving chevrons and an infinity mirror. It also comes with a Dial Home Device. All its 7 chevrons move and light up when engaged.

To achieve the wormhole effect, an animated infinity mirror with 122 LEDs was used. Kristian Tysse’s Stargate even has cool sound effects from the TV show. He used a Raspberry Pi running a Python program to engage the motor and lights.
