We have covered plenty of fancy chess computers here in the past. Companies have been making them since the 70s. The Mephisto modular chess computers are highly in-demand collectibles. The company produced a bunch of gorgeous chessboard and modules you could use in them to test your skills. The Mephisto MM V is one of those. It has a 4.91MHz processor with 32KB storage and 8KB RAM.

The Mephisto MM V works in the Mephisto Mobil computer. This is a handheld computer that brings these chess cartridges to life. It has a foldable chessboard with flat magnetic pieces. The module has buttons that you can use to set level, enter moves, and make other changes. The MM V is compatible with Exclusive, Modular board, and Mephisto Muenchen. In the above video, I put it to the test against the Chessnut Evo. These old chess computers are not strong but should be able to perform at close to 2000 ELO.
