Robotic lawn mowers are getting smarter all the time. A bunch of them are being showcased at CES 2026. The AIRSEEKERS Tron Ultra is a 4SWD robot mower that independently controls each wheel to clear 6cm obstacles and turn on the spot. It can overcome wet grass without damaging your lawn. As Charbax explains, this robot can perform a sideways crab move to operate in narrow areas.
The Tron Ultra uses AI vision and LiDAR plus VSLAM mapping and multiple cameras to perceive its surroundings. It has a 360-degree field of view, so it can detect and avoid obstacles in real-time. The Tron Ultra uses a beacon signaling system, so you don’t need a RTK base station and boundary wires. Its batteries are swappable. It can cover 0.49 acres per charge. Expected to hit Kickstarter in April.
