Robots are going to do many things for us in the future. These 3D-printed bionic ants are quite special though. They mimic the cooperative behavior of certain insects and team up to move objects. Developed by Festo, the BionicANTs are capable of completing complex tasks they wouldn’t be able to accomplish on their own.

Their body is 3D-printed with electronic circuits while their 6 legs and grippers are made from ceramic actuators that can bend. This is a work in progress, but these tiny robots have a lot of potential.
