Camping and long road trips can be fun any time of year. If you are planning a summer trip, you may want to invest in a decent car fridge to keep your drinks, fruit, and even meat at the right temperature at all times. This BODEGA Smart Car Refrigerator comes with everything you need to keep your perishable items cold in your RV or truck. It has adjustable temperature control and app connectivity. The good folks behind it were kind enough to send us one to test. Let’s see what was included:

The first thing we noticed was how well this car refrigerator is built. It came with the main unit, car and home adapters, and a manual. It is built like a tank with a shiny stainless steel design. It is not the lightest fridge we have tested but has plenty of room for fruit, cans, meat, and other ingredients. It has two zones that you can control independently. The divider is easily removable. The handles are very well-built and don’t feel flimsy at all.

A lot of people who buy fridges of this type worry about draining their car battery. This model has low, medium, and high battery-protection modes, so you can protect your car battery from being drained too much. You will just have to hold the settings button to change between modes. It has a sturdy design and doesn’t shake much on bumpy roads. It also has other convenient features, such as interior lights and a drain hole. The control panel is very straightforward to use: you can use the plus and minus buttons to change the temperature on each side. You can also change the temperature unit using a simple shortcut.

We found this fridge to be easy to use without the app, but even more convenient with it. Once you scan a QR code, you will be directed to the download page for the iOS or Android app for it. You can change the temperature on each side and switch between modes with a couple of taps. We tested this fridge in extremely hot weather in our backyard. While the conditions were brutal, we were able to change and monitor the temperature from an air-conditioned room.

This fridge has an adjustable temperature from -4°F to 68°F. We loaded ours with a few items at room temperature and took the fridge out on a 100°F day to test its cooling speed. It was able to get the temperature to 32°F in 37 minutes while exposed to scorching sunlight. The fridge has feet at the bottom to help it stay put in your car or anywhere you put it. The noise level was so low, we were not even able to hear it while it ran outside.

What’s neat about this fridge is its dual-zone design. You can maintain two different temperatures, but it is also possible to remove the divider to have more space for your items. The car adapter works fine, but we were also able to use this indoors with the included wall adapter. We used a Renogy Phoenix Solar Briefcase to power this fridge. Since this cooler is 60 W rated, smaller power stations can handle it. This fridge has many other convenient features, including an anti-shake design, a bottle opener on the side, a removable top, and a drain hole.

Overall, this is one of the toughest car fridges we have tested. It is not the lightest, and it was not designed to be. You can put in plenty of items with peace of mind. Its aluminum alloy handles can withstand heavy loads. Its app controls and interior lights are convenient features that make life easier during your adventures. If you are looking for a portable dual-zone fridge for camping, fishing, and RV trips, you should give this one a serious look.
