Many of us rely on our smartphones to keep track of our valuable items, using all kinds of tags. You wouldn’t be able to do that if your phone is running very low on battery. The Bulletag aims to address both issues. It combines a GaN charger with an Apple Find My Tracker, allowing you to charge your phone quickly and track your keys and other misplaced items. We first saw this project on Kickstarter. The good folks behind it were kind enough to send us one to test.

The Bulletag is available in two versions: the regular version is a charger and tracker but the pro version also has 256GB of storage capacity for your files. We received the standard version in the mail. As expected, this is a very tiny gadget with two simple parts you can easily take with you anywhere. The Bulletag has a featherweight design. The tracker doubles as a cable for transferring files. Simply attach it to your phone via its USB-C head, and connect the other side to your laptop or PC.

The included Cyber GaN charger is also compact and features a folding plug. It offers up to 2.4A current to charge your devices fast. The included cable can be adjusted, so you will have no trouble reaching the adapter or your laptop’s USB-C port. You can easily attach it to your keys, purse, and everything in between for tracking.

We tested the Bulletag with Apple Find My on our iPhone. It is also compatible with Google Find My Device. We were able to see the location of our keys that were dropped around our property. The tag also has a sound feature that you can activate to find your misplaced items more easily. You will be able to enable left-behind notifications to get an alert when you are about to leave your keys and other valuable items behind. The tracker was exposed to a bit of rain in our backyard but had no trouble operating.

We completely discharged our 11-inch iPad and used the charge to see how fast it could recharge it. We were able to go from 1% to 50% in about 51 minutes. What’s neat is every time you use this gadget to charge your devices, the tracker is also charged. The charger did get a bit warm after 50 minutes of charging but that was to be expected. The cable is very well made and can handle up to 5kg of weight.

Bulletag is available in silver and iron gray colors. We were sent the latter, which is quite stylish. The device has a button that you can hold for 5 seconds to turn off. We were able to use this to charge our MacBook, so it is pretty versatile. The charging cable doubles as a grip, allowing you to hold on to your phone while handling it with one hand.

Overall, we found the Bulletag to be a nifty accessory for those who want a compact charger and tracker in one. Its tracker comes in handy for finding your keys, purses, and other misplaced items. It also has a high-quality USB-C cable that you can use to recharge your phone and transfer files. The charger has a compact design with a foldable plug, so you can easily carry it with you anywhere. The Pro version of Bulletag sounds even more useful with its 256GB storage space but we have not tested that yet.
