When it comes to adopting robots, most folks think of those that can make a meal or clean a house. Familiar Machines & Magic’s “Familiar” is a cute 4-legged AI robot designed to keep you company. It is created by Colin Angle, the co-founder of iRobot. The Familiar features 23 degrees of freedom and a touch-sensitive design. It also has a smart vision system and microphone array. These robots have their own custom multimodal AI to respond to facial expressions, and body language.

As you can see in the video, this furry creature is quite cute and acts like a robot. According to the company, this robot will have a privacy-first approach. It doesn’t send any data to the cloud by default.
