We have covered plenty of UAVs with advanced obstacle avoidance systems in the past. It is nice to know that researchers are constantly working on coming up with even more sophisticated solutions in this field. This video from Ross Allen shows the AgileQuad, a quadcopter equipped with a dynamic obstacle avoidance system, react to a moving blade.
This quadcopter comes with a reactive controller that allows agile maneuvers to high speed obstacles. The research is conducted at Stanford’s Autonomous Systems Laboratory.
