Having to put up with a cold coffee or tea is not ideal. It happens a lot at work as you get distracted by tasks before finishing your drink. You can always rely on an insulated mug to keep your coffee warm longer. The FEPPO Coffee Mug Warmer takes it to the next level. It can heat your mug to your desired temperature without having to rely on a microwave. The good folks behind it sent us one to test. Let’s see what was included:

Our package came with a sleek mug, a charging base, a lid, an adapter, and a manual. The mug has a titanium-coated interior and insulation, so it can keep your drink warm for hours, especially when used with a lid. The base offers 360-degree charging, so no matter how you put the mug on it, it will get charged. There are 3 touch buttons on the mug. Two of them let you increase and decrease the temperature in 5°F increments. You can hold the other one to turn the mug on or off.
Our mug was set to 120°F by default, but we were able to increase that to 150°F with a few taps. You are not supposed to put this in your microwave oven, nor do you need to. We simply added a bit of cold tea, set the temperature to what we wanted, and waited. It took the mug about an hour to get our drink from 104°F to the max level. It is recommended that you put the mug on the charging base if you want to enjoy your warm drink hours later.

The base and mug don’t take up a lot of space. They are easy to set up. The mug is easy to clean. The touch buttons are quite responsive. The first time we turned on the mug, we saw a “00” message. Apparently, that is a safety feature that reminds you to pour in your drink. The FEPPO Mug3 has antimicrobial properties. It can keep your drink warm for 2 hours on its own, but you get much better results with the lid on.

Unlike a few other smart mugs we have tested, this model doesn’t require you to install an app. It is ready out of the box. Simply add your tea, coffee, or even milk, and you are set. This is not a microwave, so you are not supposed to put soup and thick liquids in it. Its display shows the temperature and remaining battery level.

The weather outside has been quite cold in our area for weeks now. We tested the mug outdoors at 14°F with the temperature set to 150°F. It did a good job maintaining the temperature. Even when we kept the lid off, the temperature never dropped below 143°F. We used a FLIR thermal camera to confirm the results. We also tested the battery at max setting, and it lasted for 2 hours. The Mug3 doesn’t feel too heavy or light and has an ergonomic handle.

Overall, we found this temperature-controlled heated mug to be very handy. It gets the job done right out of the box. You will just have to bring a drink, set the temperature with a couple of taps, and the rest is easy. You can easily fit this mug on a small desk. If you are looking for a mug that can warm up your coffee or tea on its own, you should give the FEPPO Heated Mug a look.
