Our FEPPO Handheld Food Sealer came with everything we needed to get started quickly. It came with 3 containers (small, medium, large), 5 small bags and 5 large bags. You also get convenient plastic bag sealers. The main unit has a lightweight design with removable parts for easy cleaning. You will just have to put your ingredients in the containers or bags, attach the food vacuum, choose the right mode, and the rest is easy. The containers are made not to collapse when you remove the air. They are dishwasher and microwave safe. They have a mechanism on top of them that lets you record the storage date.
The FEPPO vacuum sealer has manual and auto modes. It may look tiny but has 65 kPa of suction power. We prefer the automatic mode as it takes the guesswork out of the process. The device will automatically stop when you have reached the right seal level. This works on a wide range of food items, including berries, apples, oranges, grains, meats, and nuts. We even tested it with a loaf of bread, but you will want to freeze your bread to keep it from getting completely crushed. It is even better if you pre-freeze your slices.
The plastic bags are pretty easy to use: you just put your ingredients inside, make sure the sealer lines up against the bag properly, and you are set. Their valves are removable for easy cleaning. The FEPPO Food Sealer doesn’t make a whole lot of noise, nor does it generate a lot of heat. It uses a liquid sensor to shut off automatically when enough moisture is collected. There is also a travel lock function that you can activate by pressing and holding the auto button for 3 seconds. Once done, you won’t have to worry about this food sealer going off by accident.
The FEPPO Food Sealer has a rechargeable battery, so you can use it anywhere without any cords. It has a digital display that shows how much battery you have left. We were able to charge this device with a regular USB-C power bank. With the auto sleep function, you don’t have to worry about draining your battery accidentally. As far as the modes, you will want to use the manual mode for moist food, while the automatic one handles dry food well every time. We used an iPhone app to measure the noise level and found it to be at a max level of 70 dB, a normal humming sound for these types of devices.
Overall, we found the FEPPO Food Vacuum Sealer to be quite handy. It is lightweight, compact but powerful. It comes with enough containers and sealing bags to get you going.
