The idea of using games to get your body moving is nothing new. Many of you have probably tried Dance Dance Revolution games already. The GAMR Active Gaming Pad lets you play these games at home. It has a pressure sensor grid to detect your movement. It is a rollable mat that you can install anywhere to enjoy. It connects to your phone, tablet or smart TV via Bluetooth but a wired connection is possible for zero-latency gaming.
This gaming mat is available in 3 different versions. The Rhythm version is made for Pump It UP style games that require precise rhythm and has raised arrows. The Junior version has a more kid-friendly design. The Active version is for those who enjoy casual games. The GAMR Active has a center panel that detects your moves from every direction. You can put a balance board on it to control games with your body. GAMR Original Games are made specifically for stepping, jumping and full body movement. This project is currently getting funded on Kickstarter.
