UAVs are going to do many things for us in the future, including spotting sharks in the water. Take the Little Ripper for instance. It is an unmanned aerial vehicle that will be used to patrol NSW’s coast. These military-grade drones have a front-mounted camera, a range of 100 km, and battery life of 2.5 hours. They cost $250k.
These drones can be used for search and rescue operations. They can also drop rescue packs. More information is available at the link below.
