Many of our readers are not old enough to remember the good old days of cassettes but they were very popular in the 80s and early 90s. They were slow and had all kinds of issues that most people wouldn’t put up with. The Mimi Tape is not your average cassette player. It is about the same size but accepts digital cassettes. You will just have to load your files on a 32GB cassette, and you are ready to rule.
These cassettes are simply just media cards. They can handle audio, video, and image files. The Mimi Tape has buttons on it that you can use to go to the next song or play/pause. There are two reels that spin as your music plays. You will be able to see them through a clear protective window. The Mimi Tape also has a built-in rear speaker. A rear stand is available to keep this on your desk. You get mini games and your own digital pet too. Mimi Tape Studio, the companion app for this, lets you import your own CD recordings, add artwork, and arrange tracks. You can find this project in on Indiegogo.
