Remember the Pd.id? It was a nifty device that could detect when your drink was drugged. Undercover Colors takes that idea to to the next level. An undergraduate team at North Carolina State University are working to develop a nail polish that lets users know when it detects date rape drugs Rohypnol and GHB. No need to carry any device with you when you can just use your nails to figure out whether someone is trying to drug you.
Ankesh Madan, Stephan Gray, Tasso Von Windheim, and Tyler Confrey-Maloney are behind this idea. The company has raised some cash, so the future seems bright for this product.
