Meet the Orphe: a smart shoe system for artists and performs. The sole of these shoes has almost 100 serially-controlled LED lights, motion sensors, a Bluetooth module, and an ARM microprocessor. These shoes enable artists to express themselves and map interactions between their movements, light, and sound.
Each shoe captures the movements of your foot and can send the data to an external device or application in real-time. Performers can customize the color of their shoes’ LEDs. The companion app also lets you better integrate these shoes into your performance. The developers also intend to release an SDK to make it easy for anyone to create custom apps for the Orphe hardware. Like what you see? You can find out more on Indiegogo.
