Playing a knife game with a robot can be dangerous if you haven’t programmed it properly. Irfon Automation has programmed a Staubli TX40 robotic arm to play five finger fillet safely. This is a 6-axis industrial robot with a repeatability of +/-0.02mm.
The robot starts slow but becomes faster over time. It still manages to miss the guy’s fingers. That’s one way to put your robot programming skills to test. More info is available here.
