There are plenty of interesting quadcopters available on the market that you can have a lot of fun with. But accidents happen all the time. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a way to recover and save your quadcopter when things go wrong? The SmartChutes system is a quadcopter parachute recovery system with a flight sensor and a deployment canister to save your device.
SmartChutes relies on a gyroscope and accelerometer to determine when the multicopter has experienced an in-flight emergency. When your quadcopter is not working correctly, a large 36″ parachute is launched automatically without you having to do anything. To get started, just turn the flight sensor on, fly above 50 meters to give the system time to work, and you are set. SmartChutes offers free fall and tumble detection.
