Smartphones have come a long way over the years. In the future, they may get a realistic skin to allow more complex interactions. Skin-On Interfaces is a research project made by Marc Teyssier that explores the idea of giving smartphones an artificial skin. Such a solution turns the back of your phone into a touchpad. You will be able to pinch and zoom, change sound volume, play games, and a whole lot more.
This artificial skin can also be used to enhance robots. Pretty neat, don’t you think? More information is available here.
