Boston Dynamics is behind many special robots. We were particularly a fan of the Spot Robot. As it turns out, a smaller version of it has been revealed. SpotMini weighs 55 lbs (without its arm) and runs for 90 minutes on a full charge. It has various sensors, including depth camera, solid state gyro, and proprioception sensors in its limbs to navigate and complete tasks.
SpotMini is capable of completing some tasks autonomously but needs humans for guidance when trying more complex tasks. As this video shows, this robot can take care of the trash, get up after falling down, climb the stairs, and even bringing its owner a drink.
Pretty special, don’t you think?
