We have covered plenty of awesome robots here in the past. You can’t control all of them using an app. TipToe is different. This 6 legged robot kit can be controlled using an iPhone/iPad application. Designed to introduce you to the field of robotics, TipToe can be assembled in a few minutes using a Phillips screwdriver and a pair of pliers.
The kit is available in two models: The Basic version has:
- 6 legs
- Forward, Backward and Turn Walking
- 2 adjustable eyes
- temperature sensor
- iPhone app
The Plus version adds a carapace, sonar ranging sensor, and a speaker. TipToe only uses three servo motors. It can walk, report back the ambient temperature, and change its eye colors. The Plus version can play sounds and sense distance. This Arduino-compatible robot can be yours for under $100 on Kickstarter.
