We all know robots are going to take over the world. For now, many of us take comfort in the fact that current generation of humanoid robots can’t move as fast as top athletes. That is about to change as Unitree has demonstrated. Its Unitree H1 robot has reached a running speed of 10m/s. To compare it to humans, Usain Bolt’s peak speed was @ 12.42 m/s.

The above video shows this robot moving at an insane level. If you have studied the H1 model, you realize this one is a modified version designed for these competitions. It does not have a head or hands. Nevertheless, it has 0.8m legs, weighing 62kg.
