Slushies, frappes, and milkshakes are great this time of year. Making them doesn’t have to be a hassle when you have a smart slushie maker. The Vibofrost Slushie Machine is one of the smartest models on the market. It lets you prepare frozen drinks without ice. It can turn any concoction containing at least 5% sugar or under 16% alcohol level into a frozen drink. It is also compatible with allulose. The good people behind it were kind enough to send us one to test. Let’s see what was included:

This slushy maker came neatly packed with ample protection on all sides. It came completely assembled, unlike a few others we have tested. We didn’t even have to attach the dispensing handle. This machine has removable parts for easy cleaning, including the vessel and blade. A cleaning brush is also included. We found the touchscreen panel to be brighter than other models we have tested. You get frappe, milkshake, cocktail, wine, and slushie programs to choose from. There are also 5 thickness levels available. A booklet with plenty of fun recipes was included in the package.

The Vibofrost Slushy Maker also has a self-cleaning program that you can activate after your frozen drink is ready. You have the option to delay your favorite program by up to 24 hours. In preset mode, you can hold the + and – signs to activate the keep cool function. The child lock function automatically activates and makes sure your program runs without any interruption. The container holds 88 oz of liquid but you will want to stay around 68 oz to avoid any overflow as your drink freezes.
This slushy maker is as close to plug & play as you can get. Just attach the tray, and you are set. Before getting started, just run the clean program first. Once done, prepare your mixture and pour it in. If you don’t have enough sugar, you will hear a rubbing sound until the machine stops. You can always add more sugar by opening the sliding top door on the container. We tested this machine with simple ingredients such as lemon juice and water, coffee & milk, and a nut milk that we made with a plant-based milk maker. It took about 40 minutes for the machine to complete frozen drinks with max thickness set at 5.
For a mimosa, it took about 45 minutes for the program to finish at the highest thickness level. You will want to make sure your mixture has under 16% alcohol level. For inspiration, you can always take a look at the recipe booklet included. Keep in mind that too much sugar or alcohol could lead to your slushy not forming properly. We tested the noise level with an iPhone noise meter app. During operation, this machine runs around 65 dB, so it is pretty quiet.

The Vibofrost Slushie Machine doesn’t take up a whole lot of space. It has vents on both sides for heat dissipation. You need only 3 inches of space from every side for the machine to operate. At the bottom, it has non-slip feet to stay put. For cleaning, you can just rinse the blade and container. You should not attempt to remove the main compressor. What sets this apart from other slushie machines we have tested is its temperature display, so you will always know how cold your drink is.
We found this machine to be very easy to use. The only time we had to use the manual was to figure out how to activate the keep-cool function. Unlike a few other models we have tested, this one never failed to produce slushies. We just needed to make sure to add enough sugar. The cleaning process is pretty simple as well. The delay timer function is a huge plus. If you are looking for a next-level slushie machine with enough capacity to serve your family and guests, you should give this one a close look.
