Myo is a wonderful wearable device that can be used to control robotic arms, drones, computers, and everything in between. This video from FZIchannel shows how you can use this smart armband to interact with a robot arm. The 6DoF Schunk PowerBall LWP4 robotic arm and SVH anthropomorphic hand are controlled over Bluetooth.
The position and orientation data from Myo enabled the arm to move and the hand the interact with objects. Myo also detects muscle activity in the operator’s hand to activate grasp motion of the robotic hand. The developers used dynamic kinematic restrictions to avoid collisions.
