Super 8 cameras were first manufactured in 1965 by Kodak. These are small analog motion-picture cameras that record to a 8mm film. The Aura6 is a digital camera inspired by it. It adds each clip to your roll automatically. You don’t need to deal with filters and fancy settings. This digital camera can capture 6 second clips. You do have the option to turn it off if you want. This camera supports 3-minute rolls. Once a roll is done, you can press New Roll to get started again.
Aura6 gives you the grain, color and imperfections of those old cameras but you don’t have to deal with film cartridges, nor will you have to wait to develop film. This camera doesn’t have a playback screen either. Aura6 records video without audio but you do have the option to add an external microphone. Once you connect this to your phone or computer, you will be able to view what you have captured. You can back this project on Kickstarter.
